YIELD: Makes 1 cocktail
INGREDIENTS
3 each – blackberries
2 T – Honey Syrup [see recipe below]
2 dashes – Angostura bitters
1 each – orange peel [1 in x 3 in single pull peel]
1 oz. – mead
1 1/2 oz. – bourbon [Belle Meade Bourbon recommended]
splash – water
DIRECTIONS
Procedure
Combine Blackberries, Honey Syrup [see recipe below], Angostura Bitters, and Orange peel. Muddle together, mashing the blackberries. Pour into 8-10 ounce glass and add a single 2×2 ice cube. Then, add the mead, bourbon and water. Using a cocktail spoon, swirl the ice around for 25-30 seconds.
Honey Syrup
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
1/4 cup Wildflower Honey
1/4 cup Water
Procedure:
Combine the Wildflower Honey and water in a small saucepot. Heat until dissolved [no more than one minute]. Screen, chill and reserve
