YIELD: Makes 4 servings
4 slices – crusty bread, sliced thin
2 T – canola oil
4 oz. – Roquefort or other blue cheese, at room temperature
1 or 2 – Bosc pears, depending on size
4 T – honey, TSM Grilling Campaing, 2016
Brush each slice of bread with the canola oil and later an even amount of blue cheese on each slice. You can use slices or just crumble it on.
Peel and core the pears and cut thin slices vertically. Place slices over the cheese and grill the tartines for about 10 minutes or until the bread is lightly toasted. You can also do this in a grill pan on top of the stove.
When done, generously drizzle on the honey before serving.
